At Gordons Bay Guest House, we love our golf! Our location ensures we are literally within 40 minutes drive of around 10 world class golf courses including the famous and breathtakingly scenic, Erinvale and Arabella. As an exclusive offer to our guests, we are able to loan out golf clubs and equipment (yes free of charge!) for the duration of your stay. A range of clubs, from Callaway, Dunlop, Slazenger to Mizuno and Onyx await. In addition, the Guest House offers exclusive personalised tours to a whole range of courses for up to 8 people in our two 4 X 4 vehicles.
The area is also home to Southern Africa's finest world class golf driving range some 8 minutes drive from the Guest House. Should guests require a quick access nearby course to develop their Tiger Woods and Ernie Els "styles", Strand Golf Club is a mere 10 minute drive and provides majestic view of the Helderberg Mountain and across the sweeping False Bay.

A R A B E L L A G O L F C L U B (18 Holes )
This international championship golf course, designed by Peter Matkovich, lies on the scenic Botrivier lagoon near Hermanus, with spectacular views of the Kogelberg mountain range. The course is rated one of the top 5 in South Africa. Despite Arabella being a challenging championship course, it can also be played by beginners. Broad fairways leave a lot of space. It has, though, many bunkers and water features, and the wind also plays a part and demands high concentration from the player.
Arabella offers a luxury hotel with a spacious wellness section. The golfer can choose between several restaurants, lounges and bars and visit the well assorted Golf Lifestyle Shop.
E R I N V A L E G O L F C L U B (18 Holes)
The Erinvale Golf Course in Somerset West was designed by Gary Player and is one of the best courses in the Western Cape Province, SA. In 1996 it hosted the IGA World Cup of Golf. The course is situated on the former Erinvale Farm at the foot of the Helderberg Mountains. The views are spectacular. One can see beautiful the False Bay and the Hottentots Holland Mountain range in the east. The mountains protect the course from the wind. The first 9 holes lie in a valley. Despite the many bunkers and water hazards it’s quite easy to play. Holes 10 to 18 stretch over mountainous terrain and provide considerable challenges. In parts the fairways ascend steeply. Fortunately there are electric golf carts for hire. The modern Club house is laid out generously has its own restaurant and a very well equipped pro shop.
